On 1st December 2019, new Victorian laws came into effect to improve swimming pool and spa safety.
If you are an owner of a swimming pool or spa, you are now required to register your swimming pool or spa with your relevant local council.
You are also now required to obtain and lodge compliant certificates for their safety barriers.
All owners of existing swimming pools or spa must register with their local council by 1st June 2020 or fines may apply.
Please Note: failure to follow rules and regulations that have been put in place regarding your pool and spa will result in non compliance. It should be noted, a non compliant pool may not be covered under your existing insurance policy.
